Abstract

Propose a relationship for its concretion of the Latin American university and critical thinking is a difficult challenge, for this purpose, this article seeks to establish a reflection of the epistemological, social, cultural and political relationships of critical thinking in the university environment. For this, qualitative-inductive documentary research was used with inquiries based on hermeneutic analysis. Critical thinking is conceived in the university as the creative power through the reflective self-regulation of university actors, who seek, before the construct of superior knowledge, to promote mediation through a dialogical posture that seek analysis, interpretation, inquiry, judgments evaluative and reasoning. Its implementation in Latin America goes through the institutional transformation and the reconceptualization of the term, uprooting the traditional forms of reasoning of thought that alienate the behavior of university actors, for this it is necessary to promote the use of critical pedagogies.
