Digital journalism and the rise of prosumers in the public university

The emergence of the Internet and its future massification, puts journalism and communications generally in new scenarios, which are used by Digital Journalism, recognizing the new demands of the audience, which has allowed the successful integration of traditional journalistic practices and benefits that allows the internet to include audio, images, photos and texts. The Network completely revolutionized when the dynamics of mass information media appeared in the spectrum, which is why those who at the time became media consumers are now content generators. The audience is no longer seen as a mere receiver, now it is about users, who not only consume content, but are increasingly willing to generate it by being much more participatory; Through theirs comments, through blogs and social networks, by submitting ideas, videos, and photos, what Alvin Toffler once called Prosumers. This research seeks to know how digital journalism develops in the Ica region and how it promotes the emergence of Prosumers among students of the Faculty of Communications Sciences, Tourism and Archeology of the National University "San Luis Gonzaga"of Ica.
