Abstract

In the present investigation; knowledge, customs and practices of the administrative workers of a Peruvian public university were rescued; where most of the interviewees consider festivities related to the traditions of their towns, emphasizing the patron saint festivities and in relation to community and agricultural activities; Likewise, the main ancestral custom recognized by the interviewees refers to the festivity of the Patron Santiago or Tayta Shanty, which has a connotation about fertility, which is synonymous with abundance; There is also talk of the use of wise nature to cure ailments, through infusions, cleansing or jubilation; In relation to gastronomy, it was found that it is also deeply rooted in the Huancavelica area, food strengthens, gives health and life.
