La educación médica moderna debe estar enfocada a enfrentar a un nuevo mundo que emerge, centrada en la demanda social de salud, en los procesos de calidad, de innovación y de flexibilidad y variedad de servicios de salud. Necesitamos entonces formar a las personas en procesos y habilidades de pensamiento facilitándoles herramientas de investigación y construyendo ciudadanos competentes para que puedan resolver problemas, pensar creativamente y seguir aprendiendo por sí mismo para ser competitivos.
